My name is Mark Hackett and I live in my hometown of Memphis, TN. I’ve been married to my wife Olivia for 16 years. We have two kids and two cats.
I’m a storyteller who specializes in website design and copywriting, photography, videography and editing, and more.
Whether you need help crafting and telling the story of your small business, church, or nonprofit in a way that resonates or personal portraits, I’d love to team up with you on your journey.
I work remotely for web design, copywriting, and a few other services. I’m available for photo and video projects in the Greater Memphis area.

Churches
I’m a lifelong Christian and have spent countless hours in a diversity of faith environments and denominations. I spend a lot of time around de-churched Christians and people who have left religion entirely, too. As such, I’m aware that a lot of welcoming churches are in need of better language and imagery that is more true to their culture and love helping them tell their story better.
Nonprofits
In 2011 I launched an award-winning nonprofit that went on to raise millions of dollars for genocide survivors in Sudan. Like many small enterprise operators though, I learned at the outset the creative services we needed were completely unaffordable, so I taught myself and learned from friends who knew how to do this work well. Now I get to offer those hard-learned lessons to nonprofits who can’t afford a marketing agency, and shouldn't be using one anyway.
Small Businesses
For 15+ years I provided creative help to friends who worked at small businesses. That includes the Relay podcast network, Children’s Museum of Memphis, and more.
In another life I also managed one of the first Starbucks in the Memphis market, back when the company’s stores genuinely felt like a local coffeehouse. I love what small businesses mean for community and am intimately aware with the unique needs they often face.
Today, I work with a small number of like-minded clients at a time so you get the personal touch and emphasis you deserve. This gifts us plenty of space to discover your authentic story, together.
